Vision, mission and Aims of the Biology Department
The department aims to prepare scientific cadres specialized in biology and microbiology capable of joining various government ministries in the education, health, industry, and agriculture sectors. It also provides students with basic knowledge of biology and introduces them to its broad fields of knowledge. The academic plans for students in the Natural Biology program include the following: 1. General educational requirements (university requirements) or requirements that provide students with the necessary competencies for independent learning and developing awareness of key areas of knowledge. 2. Specialized requirements that provide students with basic knowledge in the areas of knowledge that constitute the main focus of the major. 3. Elective requirements, which allow students to select one of the other scientific interests and acquire knowledge therein, based on their own vision for their professional future. The program also includes preparation for the academic axes of the major with specific outcomes, critical analysis and logical thinking, technological literacy, and skills related to research and knowledge production. The academic plan content of the programs offered by the department leads to the preparation of a specialized and well-prepared individual to perform a specific professional role in various professional or technical fields.
