To support graduate students, the College of Science organized an educational meeting on how to prepare scientific research and publish in prestigious journals, where the respected Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Ismat Ramzi Abdel Ghafour, and his assistant for scientific and student affairs, Professor Dr. Ahmed Salman Obaid, met on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, with graduate students in the College of Science in the departments of Life Sciences, Chemistry, Physics and Applied Geology, where experts provided the necessary advice and guidance to help students overcome the challenges of scientific research and write distinguished master's and doctoral theses. An educational lecture was given to the students, which is considered one of the requirements for granting a certificate to a graduate student. The first part was entitled (Guide to Writing Theses and Dissertations and Reputable Publishing Houses), which was delivered by the Dean of the College, which emphasized the instructions and conditions for the reliability of scientific research and publishing in reputable international journals that are within reputable international containers and avoiding publishing in fake journals and publishing offices. The conditions for writing theses and dissertations were also explained according to the official guide for scientific specializations at our university, and the second part of the lecture was entitled (Instructions and Controls for Postgraduate Studies), which was delivered by Mr. Assistant Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, who emphasized the duties of the graduate student, examination instructions, and the role of the supervisor in scientific research.
