The aims of this study is evaluate the biocontrol efficiency of Trichoderma harzianum against Alternaria solani, the causal agent of early blight in tomato. Laboratory tests showed that the 15-day filtrate achieved the highest inhibition of pathogen growth. In field trials, preventive treatment reduced disease severity to 16.28% compared with 82.58% in the infected control. Trichoderma also improved plant growth traits, including height, chlorophyll, and biomass. Defensive enzymes (PAL, PPO, POD, CAT) and hydrolytic enzymes (chitinase, β-glucanase) showed marked increases under treatment. GC-MS analysis revealed 46 active compounds with antifungal and resistance-inducing roles.
