This study successfully synthesized ZnO and TiO? nanoparticles using Pulsed Laser Ablation in Liquid (PLAL). UV-Vis and zeta potential analyses showed that higher laser energies (700 mJ for ZnO, 500 mJ for TiO?) produced smaller, more stable nanoparticles. XRD confirmed crystalline structures: ZnO in the hexagonal wurtzite phase with traces of Zn and ZnO?, and TiO? mainly tetragonal with some metallic Ti. EDX verified the expected elemental compositions, while TEM images revealed nearly spherical nanoparticles with average sizes of ~12 nm (ZnO) and ~9 nm (TiO?). When applied to oyster mushrooms (Pleurotus ostreatus), nanoparticles significantly enhanced growth, yield, and nutritional value: biological efficiency increased up to 78.4%, fresh weight by ~83%, and vitamin D, C, protein, and mineral contents were notably enriched. Importantly, toxicity assessments confirmed the treatments were safe, with no harmful residues or biochemical alterations detected.
