Workshop on "Constructing Achievement Tests and How to Formulate Exam Questions"

 The College of Science hosted a workshop on Monday, November 18, 2024, on building achievement tests and how to set exam questions. The workshop was presented by Professor Dr. Yasser Khalaf Rashid, a lecturer at the College of Education for Pure Sciences, and attended by faculty members at the college. This workshop aims to enable participants to build effective and fair achievement tests by providing them with the knowledge and skills necessary to formulate clear and specific questions, introducing them to the different types of tests and the advantages and disadvantages of each type, and providing them with the latest methods in correcting and evaluating tests, in addition to enhancing their ability to build tests that are consistent with the objectives of the courses. The workshop covered a wide range of important topics, including: (the concept of achievement tests, types of exam questions, criteria for building a good test, specifications table, correcting and evaluating tests).
