Within the curriculum of the Educational Guidance and Psychological Counseling Week, an awareness workshop on “University Behavior and Student Discipline”
The Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit organized an awareness workshop on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, on university behavior and student discipline, as part of the activities of the annual Educational Guidance Week organized by the college. The lecture was presented by Professor Dr. Akram Obaid Freih, a lecturer at the College of Islamic Sciences, in cooperation with Dr. Ala Abdul Karim Kazem and Assistant Lecturer Hanin Ziad, a lecturer in the Department of Biotechnology. The lecturers presented a comprehensive presentation on the importance of positive university behavior and its role in achieving academic and professional success. The workshop included important topics such as the concept of university behavior and its various dimensions, its impact on the academic environment and the causes of negative behaviors. The most prominent reasons that lead to the emergence of negative behaviors among students were reviewed, as well as how to deal with them and the importance of university discipline. The lecturers highlighted the importance of university discipline and its role in achieving educational goals, in addition to the prominent role of the family and educational institutions in refining behavior in daily life. The lecturers discussed the role of the family and educational institutions in instilling sound values ??and principles in students and developing their positive behaviors. On the sidelines of the workshop, a diverse exhibition was held, which included handicrafts and posters prepared by the college students, which added an atmosphere of creativity and activity to the events.
