Within the activities of the annual Educational Guidance Week organized by the College of Science, an awareness workshop on “Artificial Intelligence”

 In the presence of the Dean of the Faculty of Science, Prof. Dr. Ismat Ramzi Abdel Ghafour, the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit organized an awareness workshop on (Artificial Intelligence) on Monday, November 25, 2024, in Jabir bin Hayyan Hall, as part of the activities of the annual Educational Guidance Week organized by the college. The workshop was attended by Dr. Hamsa Adnan Ali and Dr. Afra Amash Kanaan, lecturers in the Department of Physics, who gave a comprehensive presentation on the latest developments in this field and its various applications in various aspects of life. The lecturers discussed the concept of artificial intelligence, the history of its development, and its importance in the current era. The most prominent technologies used in the field of artificial intelligence were reviewed, such as machine learning and neural networks. The lecturers also shed light on a wide range of practical applications of artificial intelligence, including in the fields of medicine, engineering and industry. The potential effects of artificial intelligence on various aspects of life and the challenges it may face were discussed. The workshop aims to introduce students to the latest developments in the field of artificial intelligence, encourage them to study and apply it, develop students’ skills in the field of artificial intelligence, enable them to participate in research and studies related to it, in addition to linking the academic aspect to the labor market, and highlighting the job opportunities available in the field of artificial intelligence.
