"Biology Students Explore Advanced Equipment at the Central Laboratories of the University of Anbar"

As part of field-based scientific activities aimed at linking theoretical knowledge with practical application, fourth-year students from the Department of Biology, College of Science, conducted a scientific visit to the "Central Laboratories Unit at the University Presidency" on Tuesday, 25 November 2025.

The visit aimed to provide students with the opportunity to closely examine modern and advanced laboratory instruments that support scientific research in Biology and related disciplines. This exposure represents an essential component in preparing students for graduation projects and postgraduate study requirements.

The students were accompanied by a group of faculty members from the department: "Assist. Prof. Dr. Hiba Fouad Abdul-Fattah, Assist. Prof. Dr. Enas Fahad Naji, Assistant Lecturer Abdulbasit Mohammed Jassim, and Assist. Lect. Hanan Abdulqader Abdulilah".

During the tour, students received detailed explanations from the technical staff of the central laboratories regarding the operating principles of advanced equipment and their applications in specialized biological research.

In this context, "Dr. Hiba" emphasized that such visits are highly valuable for fourth-year students, noting that observing modern instruments and understanding their functionality enhances students’ enthusiasm for research and guides them toward selecting applied and feasible research topics that can be implemented using the facilities available at the university.

This visit reflects the Department of Biology’ and the College of Science’s commitment to providing comprehensive academic support to students and preparing them effectively for the labor market and advanced academic stages.
