College of Science Council Holds Its Sixth Open Session (Part I)
The Council of the College of Science convened its "Sixth Open Session (Part I)" on Wednesday, June 5, 2026, under the chairmanship of the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Ismat Ramzi Abdul Ghafour, and in the presence of all Council members, including the Assistant Deans and Heads of Scientific Departments.
During the session, extensive discussions were held on a number of important issues listed on the agenda. The meeting focused on the mechanisms and timelines for announcing the final examination results of students in the upper undergraduate levels, with emphasis placed on the accuracy and efficiency of the examination committees in completing their duties to ensure the timely release of results.
The Council also reviewed the academic promotion applications of several faculty members and approved the related procedures in accordance with the applicable regulations and guidelines, reaffirming its commitment to supporting academic excellence and research advancement within the College.
In addition, participants discussed in detail the logistical and organizational preparations required for hosting sixth-grade secondary school students during the ministerial examinations. Particular emphasis was placed on preparing examination halls and providing all necessary facilities and a comfortable environment to ensure the smooth conduct of examinations within the college premises.
The session further addressed a number of important administrative and academic directives aimed at enhancing institutional and academic performance across the College’s various departments.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Council Chair commended the efforts of all academic and administrative staff and extended his sincere wishes for continued success and excellence to the students in their educational journey.
