Workshop on "The Role of Technological Development in Reducing Bureaucracy and Combating Corruption"

As part of its continuous efforts to improve the administrative work environment and strengthen the legal and professional culture of its staff, the Legal Affairs Unit at the College of Science, in cooperation with the Department of Legal Affairs at the University Presidency, organized a specialized workshop on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, entitled

“Bureaucracy between Applicable Laws and Technological Development and Its Impact on Corruption”

The workshop was held at Ibn Sina Hall and targeted faculty members and administrative staff within the college. The event was attended and closely followed by the College Deanship, represented by the respected Assist. Dean for Administrative Affairs.

The workshop was delivered by Assist. Lect. Abdullah Ahmed Dira from the Department of Legal Affairs at the University Presidency. During his lecture, he highlighted the concept of bureaucracy and its direct impact on the daily administrative process within the framework of existing laws and regulations. The speaker also addressed the pivotal role played by technological advancement and modern automation systems in simplifying procedures, reducing routine administrative practices, and directly contributing to limiting sources of administrative and financial corruption while reinforcing the principles of transparency.

The workshop also featured scientific discussions and active contributions from attendees, all of which emphasized the importance of accelerating digital transformation within academic institutions and modernizing legal mechanisms in a manner consistent with contemporary requirements and the public interest.
