The study aimed to test the ability of carbon nanoparticles in the adsorption process of heavy metals present in hospital wastewater and apply the optimal conditions on the laboratory carbon system, then test the ability of this material to gene expression and horizontal transfer of virulence factor genes in Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteria. The results obtained showed that the optimal conditions for adsorption were: pH = 7, time = 60 min, concentration = 100 g/L, and material mass = 0.2 M. The material affected the reduction of gene expression of virulence factor genes in the COP and CZC genes, and also stopped the horizontal transfer in the COP gene.
