As part of enhancing the practical and applied aspects of academic achievement, the Department of Applied Geology in the College of Science organized a specialized field trip for first-year students. Accompanied by the department's teaching staff, the students traveled to the Al-Khalidiyah region, located east of Ramadi.
This trip aimed to familiarize the students with the diverse geological formations and phenomena that characterize the region. It also provided a valuable opportunity for field training in conducting basic field measurements of visible rock detectors, contributing to the development of their practical skills and enhancing their theoretical understanding.
The organizers of the trip emphasized that these practical initiatives represent a vital scientific resource for the department's students, as they directly link theoretical concepts with practical applications on the ground.
