Scientific symposium entitled "Hemorrhagic Fever: Deadly Viruses That Silently Sneak In"

 As part of its ongoing efforts to raise health awareness in the community, the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit at the College of Science held an important scientific symposium on Monday, May 19, 2025, entitled "Hemorrhagic Fever: Deadly Viruses That Slip Silently Invade." Assistant Professor Dr. Saad Taha Mutlaq and Dr. Bahar Muqdad Abdullah delivered lectures on the nature of hemorrhagic fever, the types of viruses that cause it, methods of transmission, clinical symptoms, and the latest available diagnostic, prevention, and treatment methods.

The symposium featured accurate and simplified scientific information presented to the attendees, emphasizing the importance of community awareness and taking the necessary precautionary measures to limit the spread of these dangerous diseases. The symposium also highlighted the role of health institutions and individuals in early detection of suspected cases and effective response to them.
The symposium was moderated by Assistant Professor Dr. Wijdan Ahmed Ali, who facilitated questions and interventions from the attendees, stimulating meaningful discussions that sought to enhance public understanding of these diseases and ways to combat them.
