New Source of Pride for the College of Science: "Student Ayat Bassam Wins the Ministry of Higher Education Reading Award"

 In an academic and cultural achievement that adds to the distinguished record of the College of Science, "Ayat Bassam Dawood", a second-year student in the Department of Biology, was awarded the "Ministry of Higher Education Reading Award (Third Edition, 2025)". The award was presented during the official ceremony held on Thursday, 27 November 2025, where "His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi", honored the students who won this prestigious national award.

Ayat Bassam Dawood received the award for her outstanding reading and analytical review of the book “The Problem of Culture” by the prominent Algerian thinker "Malik Bennabi". This achievement reflects the intellectual depth and broad cultural awareness of the students of the College of Science, as well as their commitment to combining excellence in scientific disciplines with enrichment in the humanities.

The ceremony was attended by the Dean of the College of Science, "Prof. Dr. Ismat Ramzi Abdul-Ghafoor", who expressed his pride in this accomplishment, praised the student’s intellectual level, and reaffirmed the college’s continuous support for cultural activities that contribute to the holistic development of university students.
