College of Science Hosts an Awareness Workshop Entitled “Sound Mental Health: A Successful University Life”

As part of the College of Science’s commitment to providing a supportive and positive academic environment for its students and staff, an important scientific awareness workshop entitled “Sound Mental Health: A Successful University Life” was held on Wednesday, 26 November 2025, in the Jaber Ibn Hayyan Hall at the college.

The workshop was organized  the scientific activities of the College’s University Psychological Counseling Unit, in cooperation with the University Psychological Counseling Division at the University Presidency. It focused on providing psychological support for students and was delivered by a distinguished group of academics and specialists, including "Prof. Dr. Fouad Mohammed Farih" from the College of Education for Human Sciences and "Assist. Prof. Dr. Hamid Al-Shaher, Head of the University Psychological Counseling Division at the University Presidency.

The workshop addressed key themes related to the importance of mental health for university students, methods for coping with academic and examination-related stress, and strategies for building positive social relationships. It also highlighted the psychological support and counseling services available at the university to assist students in overcoming academic and personal challenges.

The workshop aimed to equip students and staff with practical tools to enhance academic and psychological adjustment, develop skills for managing anxiety and stress, and thereby contribute directly to academic excellence and success in university life.
