College of Science Concludes a Training Course on "Promoting Integrity and Good Governance in the Protection of Public Funds"

As part of its efforts to consolidate the principles of good governance, the College of Science, in coordination with the Department of Legal Affairs at the University Presidency, concluded on Thursday, 16 October 2025, a specialized training course entitled “Administrative Responsibility in Safeguarding Public Funds.” The course was held over three days at Jabir Ibn Hayyan Hall.

The course was attended by the Dean of the College of Science, Prof. Dr. Ismat Ramzi Abdul Ghafoor, in addition to faculty members and administrative staff of the college. In his address, the Dean emphasized the importance of such training programs in strengthening a culture of administrative compliance and legal responsibility among staff, noting that the protection of public funds constitutes a fundamental pillar of institutional integrity.

The course lectures were delivered by Assist. Lecturer Ahmed Arrak Nayef, Head of Legal Affairs at the University Presidency, and Mr. Abdulrahman Naeem Umair, Head of the Legal Unit at the College. The lecturers addressed a range of topics related to the legal and administrative aspects of protecting public funds, as well as mechanisms for enhancing transparency and efficiency within the administrative work environment.

The course aimed to raise legal and administrative awareness among participants and to underscore the importance of administrative commitment to these responsibilities, thereby contributing to the sound and responsible management of public resources.
