Joint Scientific Collaboration between the University of Anbar and Al-Maarif University
In a solid scientific achievement that keeps pace with recent advances in medical and molecular research, this study has been published in an **international scientific journal indexed in the Scopus database**, reflecting the high level of quality and academic rigor required by this global indexing platform.
The research was conducted by Assist. Prof. Dr. Rana Talib Mohsen**, Department of Biotechnology, College of Science, University of Anbar, and Lect. Sally Hassan Zubair, College of Medical and Health Laboratory Technologies, Al-Maarif University. The study addresses a contemporary topic of global health significance by investigating "genetic variations of the IL-37 gene and its serum levels in patients with viral hepatitis B and C".
The research adopted a rigorous scientific methodology, employing advanced laboratory techniques alongside robust statistical analysis based on Hardy–Weinberg equilibrium, which ensured high reliability and validity of the results. The findings demonstrated the potential of IL-37 as a promising genetic and immunological biomarker for understanding immune responses and susceptibility to chronic viral infections.
This work provides significant scientific and practical value and highlights the ability of Iraqi researchers and their academic institutions to produce high-quality, internationally impactful research, thereby contributing to strengthening the standing of Iraqi universities within global rankings and international academic databases.
