Awareness Seminar on "Family Solidarity and Gender Equality"
On Wednesday, February 11, 2026, the College of Science, in cooperation with the Women's Affairs Unit, organized an awareness seminar entitled "Family Solidarity and its Role in Achieving Gender Equality and Justice."
The seminar coincided with Global Entrepreneurship Week and aimed to highlight the importance of family stability as a fundamental pillar for supporting entrepreneurship and empowering women in society.
The seminar session was moderated by Dr. Huda Musleh Mahmoud from the Biotechnology Department, who welcomed the attendees and emphasized the importance of the topic in strengthening community bonds.
The seminar was presented by Assistant Lecturer Shaimaa Issa Sarhan and student Ruqaya Mujahid Mardi.
The presenters addressed the concepts of family solidarity from a Sharia and social perspective, and how this solidarity contributes to achieving justice and equality, thus creating a healthy environment that fosters development and entrepreneurship.
