Specialized Scientific Seminar Entitled: “Artificial Intelligence: Ethics of Use and Protection of Innovation”
Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Science, Prof. Dr. Ismat Ramzi Abdulghafour, the Human Rights Unit organized a scientific and awareness seminar on Tuesday, 17/2/2026, entitled:
**“Artificial Intelligence: Ethics of Use and Protection of Innovation”**, held at Jabir bin Hayyan Hall.
The seminar aimed to highlight the ethical and legal challenges posed by modern technologies and to explore ways of balancing rapid technological advancement with the protection of intellectual and human rights.
The seminar was delivered by a distinguished group of lecturers:
* Dr. Hamsa Adnan Ali
* Dr. Abeer Mohammed Anad
* Assist. Lect. Hanan Hamed Mohammed
The presentations addressed several key themes, most notably the ethical guidelines for dealing with artificial intelligence applications, mechanisms for safeguarding scientific output and innovation amid the widespread use of these technologies, as well as the social and legal impact of artificial intelligence from a human rights perspective.
