The Biotechnology Department at the College of Science organized a specialized scientific seminar entitled "Biotechnology: Leading Change and Building the Future," which was attended by students.

The seminar featured presentations by Dr. Bahar Miqdad Abdullah and student Iman Naji Sharif (third year, Biotechnology Department), reflecting the department's commitment to engaging students in scientific activities and developing their presentation and research skills.

The seminar, moderated by a group of faculty members, addressed the core themes that make biotechnology a key driver of future change. Its pivotal role in the health sector and its effective contribution to the development of innovative vaccines and treatments were highlighted, demonstrating the department's ability to respond rapidly to global health challenges.

The presenters also discussed the strategic importance of biotechnology in enhancing food security through improving plant varieties and increasing crop productivity. Regarding environmental sustainability, the seminar highlighted modern technologies used to reduce pollution and develop alternative and clean energy sources.
