This study aimed to Preparation of new ligands resulting from the reaction of diamidine with urea and thiourea and preparation of new two-group complexes using new ligands prepared in practice. Studying the effectiveness of positive and negative antibacterial and antioxidant complexes as well as the theory of the prepared complexes using density functional theory (DFT) and comparing them with the practical aspect using computer study in finding the geometric shapes of the complexes.
The molecular structures of the prepared ligands and complexes were proved. The theoretical study was fairly close to the practical results. The prepared complexes showed clear activity against bacteria and antioxidants. The infrared spectra showed new bands indicating the correctness of the method, such as (C=N) and (M-N). The UV spectra showed the d-d absorption section of the complexes which helped in determining the final complex shape of the two groups as octahedral.
