This study aimed to detect the presence of specific capsule biosynthesis genes in K. pneumoniae using PCR, to Chemically synthesize iron oxide nanoparticles coated with gallic acid as a drug delivery, Determining the activity of synthesized nanoparticles, IONPs and IONPs-GA, as an antibacterial and antibiofilm formation, and Evaluation of the activity of synthesized nanoparticles and gallic acid on the expression of capsule-associated genes in K. pneumoniae.
The results concluded that IONPs-GA successfully synthesized and have antimicrobial and antibiofilm inhibition. IONPs-GA could be useful in treatments wide range of bacteria and decrease the infections caused by K. pneumoniae.
