Chemical Laboratory Safety Workshop
The Department of Chemistry, in cooperation with the Center for Continuing Education, organized a workshop on "Rapid Decision Making for Chemical Laboratory Safety." The workshop was held in Jabir Bin Hayyan Hall on Wednesday, October 9, 2024. The workshop was presented by Professor Dr. Omar Hamad Shihab and Dr. Wahran Munim Saud, where they reviewed a group of emergency scenarios that may occur in chemical laboratories and how to deal with them correctly. They also addressed the importance of making quick decisions in emergency situations within the laboratory, and how to deal with dangerous chemicals.
