The aim of this study is to determine the most efficient bacterial species in the production of L-asparaginase enzyme and determine the optimal conditions for the production of the enzyme in larger quantities, purification of enzymes, and study effects of purified enzyme on some cancer cell lines.

The study showed that Acinetobacter baumanii was the most appropriate bacterial species for the production of this enzyme. The produced enzyme purified and determine its characteristics. The study also found an anti-cancer effect of L-asparaginase by killing cancer cells and weakening their ability to divide and multiply by affecting on some of the internal components and organelles of cancer cells.
