Within the Educational Guidance and Psychological Counseling Week, an awareness workshop on electronic blackmail

 Within the framework of the activities of the Educational Guidance and Psychological Guidance Week, the Guidance Unit at the College of Science organized an awareness workshop on (Electronic Blackmail: The Consequences of Electronic Blackmail). The workshop was held on Sunday, November 24, 2024, in Jabir Bin Hayyan Hall, and was well received by students. The workshop lecture was given by Assistant Lecturer Hanan Hamed Muhammad, a lecturer in the Biology Department, which discussed in detail the phenomenon of electronic blackmail, its causes, types, and its psychological, social, and legal effects. The workshop was moderated by Assistant Professor Dr. Wajdan Ahmed Ali, Head of the Psychological Guidance and Educational Guidance Unit at the College, who thanked the attendees and spoke about the importance of raising awareness of the dangers of electronic blackmail in light of the rapid technological development. She also emphasized the role of the college in protecting students and educating them about the dangers they may be exposed to in the digital world.
