Within the activities of Entrepreneurship Week, a "scientific and cultural competition"

 A scientific and cultural competition was held in Jabir Bin Hayyan Hall at the College of Science, as part of the activities of the Entrepreneurship Week organized by the college. The competition witnessed wide participation from students of various scientific departments, as they competed in answering a variety of scientific and cultural questions covering various fields. The competition was attended by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Esmat Ramzi Abdel Ghafour. The competition was organized by preparing the questions and arbitration by a number of lecturers, namely: Assistant Professor Dr. Yasser Saadoun Rashid, Engineer Hajar Shihab, Mrs. Amira Samir, and Miss Amna Khalaf. This came under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Salman Obaid, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, and Assistant Professor Dr. Yasser Mahmoud Hammadi, Head of the Women's Affairs Unit. At the end of the competition, the arbitration committee announced the winners of the first three places, where the Physics Department team won first place, then the Mathematics Department team in second place, and the Biotechnology Department team came in third place. The winning teams were honored with a valuable prize, in appreciation of their efforts and creativity. The competition included a variety of questions covering the fields of basic sciences, technology, and humanities, giving students the opportunity to test their knowledge and abilities in different fields. The competition was characterized by an atmosphere of fair competition and sportsmanship among the participating teams. In his closing speech, the Dean of the College stressed the importance of such competitions in developing students’ skills, enhancing their spirit of creativity and innovation, and encouraging them to pursue scientific research and knowledge.
