The Deanship of the College of Science, in cooperation with the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit, organized an awareness lecture on the harms of cosmetics on the skin and body on Tuesday 2/11/2025. The lecture was held in Ibn Sina Hall and was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Hanan Abdel Qader Abdel-Ilah, Assistant Lecturer Anhar Abdel Salam Awda, and Assistant Lecturer Marwa Majeed Ahmed. The lecture covered various aspects of the harms of cosmetics, starting with the harmful chemicals that go into their composition and ending with their side effects on public health. The participants provided a comprehensive explanation of how to choose safe cosmetics and how to deal with skin problems resulting from the use of inappropriate cosmetics. This lecture aims to raise awareness among female students about the harms of cosmetics and provide students with the necessary information to choose safe cosmetics in addition to encouraging students to take care of their health and beauty in natural and safe ways. One of the lecturers said, "Using cosmetics randomly without knowing their ingredients can lead to many health problems, so every woman should be fully aware of the ingredients she uses."
