This study aims to clarify the relation between the prevalence of specific Candida.spp. in pregnant diabetic women and those in pregnant non-diabetic women.  Diagnosis of resistance species of Candida to antifungal agents. Detection and quantifications of (IL-6) and (IL17) in urine .and Clarify the changes in hematological, serological parameters (HBA1C, FbS, ESR, WBC, HB, RBC and platelet, associated with candidiasis in diabetic pregnant women and compare it with those of non-diabetic.
The study conclude that the most frequent Candida species in pregnant diabetic women urine were Candida albicans among other Candida isolates and the study indicated that Candida albicans was the most common species across all case age groups. The study finds strong susceptibility to Miconazole as antifungal treatment. Also, the study concludes the level of inflammatory response parameters in study (CRP, IL-6 and IL-17) was shown higher concentration in patients because inflammatory response to GDM or candiduric species infection. The study showed high correlation between IL-6 with HbA1c, FBS and RBS. While IL-17 showed correlation with HbA1c, FBS, RBC in addition to CRP, that indicate IL-17 effect on GDM and candiduric species infection.
