Under the patronage of the Dean of the Faculty of Science, Prof. Dr. Ismat Ramzy Abdel Ghafour, the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit at the college organized an awareness seminar entitled "Socialization and its Role in Reducing Extremism", on Thursday, March 6, 2025, in Jabir bin Hayyan Hall. The seminar was attended by Prof. Dr. Abdul Rahman Hamdi Shafi, Dean of the Faculty of Science, Prof. Dr. Ismat Ramzy Abdel Ghafour, and a number of professors and students of the college. The seminar aims to introduce the concept of socialization and its importance in shaping the individual's personality, clarify the role of socialization in preventing extremism, and shed light on the factors influencing sound socialization. The seminar included several axes, including the concept of extremism and its causes, the role of the family, school, university and society in socialization, and the importance of moral and religious values ??in preventing extremism. The lecturer also stressed the importance of the role of the family in raising children, and raising them on tolerance, dialogue and acceptance of others.
