An educational seminar entitled "The Negative Effects of Drugs in Society"
In cooperation with the Women's Affairs Unit, the College of Science held an important educational seminar on Monday, April 21, 2025, on the topic of "The Negative Effects of Drugs on Society." The seminar was held in the Jabir Ibn Hayyan Hall at the college and was attended by students and staff.
The seminar featured two lectures by Assistant Lecturer Hanan Abdul Qader Abdul Illah and Assistant Lecturer Shamia Issa Sarhan. The two lectures detailed the various dimensions of the negative effects of drugs on the individual, the family, and society as a whole, with a focus on the health, psychological, social, economic, and legal aspects of this dangerous scourge.
Assistant Lecturer Anhar Abdul Salam Odeh moderated the seminar, allowing the audience to participate and ask questions.
This seminar aims to raise awareness among the university community about the dangers and destructive effects of drugs, highlight the various dimensions of this social problem, and promote awareness of the importance of preventing drug abuse.
