With an opening lecture by the university president: The start of the "Molecular Diagnostics" course to develop central laboratories in Anbar.

 Today, Monday, August 4, 2025, marked the start of the second training course, which is being held at the initiative and with the direct support of the Presidency of the University of Anbar's Scientific Affairs Department. The course, organized by the Central Laboratories Unit in cooperation with the Faculty of Science, focuses on the latest molecular diagnostic techniques and will last for three days.

The course is titled "Molecular Diagnosis Using Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction Technology: From Principles to Clinical Applications (Theoretical and Practical Aspects). This initiative comes within the framework of the ambitious vision of the University President, Prof. Dr. Mushtaq Talib Al-Nada, to develop the competencies of teaching and technical staff and upgrade the capabilities of central laboratories in line with global scientific developments.
The opening ceremony began with a welcome speech by the Dean of the Faculty of Science, Prof. Dr. Esmat Ramzi Abdel Ghaffour, who welcomed the University President and the distinguished attendees, expressing his pride and appreciation for the faculty's hosting of this important training course, which reflects the fruitful cooperation between the faculties and centers of the university.
After that, he opened the course himself, delivering the keynote opening lecture, which bore the same title as the course. Dr. Mushtaq Talib Al-Nada highlighted the great importance of molecular diagnostics in the fields of scientific research and medical diagnosis, considering mastery of this modern technology an urgent necessity for researchers and specialists in central laboratories. He emphasized that these courses reflect the university's firm commitment to empowering its staff, raising the quality of research output, and supporting applied research that serves the community.
The course program combines theory and practice, featuring a comprehensive training program. The first day was devoted to theoretical lectures. The second lecture was presented by Dr. Walid Khalid Mohammed, a lecturer at the College of Dentistry.
Tuesday and Wednesday will be devoted to practical application in the central laboratory, where participants will apply what they have learned theoretically to the latest devices and equipment, ensuring that they gain direct practical experience.
