The Assistant President of the University inspects the regularity of evening classes at the College of Science
The College of Science witnessed today, Tuesday, 30 September 2025, the smooth commencement of the new academic year for students enrolled in the evening study program. To assess the progress of classes and the College’s readiness, the Vice President for Scientific Affairs, Assist. Prof. Dr. Wissam Hashim Khalil, paid an inspection visit accompanied by Asst. Prof. Dr. Imad Khudair Salman, Director of Student Affairs and Registration.
The delegation was welcomed by the Dean of the College of Science, Prof. Dr. Ismat Ramzi Abdul Ghafour, along with the heads of the academic departments.
During the visit, Dr. Khalil conducted a comprehensive tour of the College’s facilities, including laboratories and lecture halls, to review their readiness for accommodating students. He also met with several students and listened to their impressions about the start of the academic year, stressing the University Presidency’s commitment to providing the best possible educational environment for all students.
In his remarks, the Vice President for Scientific Affairs stated: “Evening studies are a valuable opportunity for our students, and the University Presidency attaches great importance to them. The organization and preparation we have seen today at the College of Science are promising indicators of a successful and fruitful academic year. We wish all students continued success in their academic journey.”
For his part, the Dean of the College of Science affirmed that the College has developed a comprehensive plan to ensure the smooth flow of classes and provide all the necessary resources for students, particularly in the practical component, which is considered the cornerstone of pure sciences disciplines.
This visit reflects the University Presidency’s continuous follow-up on the educational process across all colleges, ensuring that the academic objectives of the University are fully achieved.
