Between the Heritage of Anbar and the Progress of Malaysia: "The Reconstruction Journey of the College of Science Impresses the Malaysian Delegation in an Exceptional Workshop"
On a day where numbers intertwined with a profound sense of pride, and as part of the historic visit of the Malaysian academic delegation from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), the College of Science hosted a specialized scientific workshop and a comprehensive introductory day. The event was held under the patronage and in the presence of the Dean of the College of Science, Prof. Dr. Ismat Ramzi Abdul-Ghafoor, and witnessed a high-level exchange of scientific and cultural knowledge.
The program commenced with the screening of introductory documentary films. The Malaysian delegation presented an overview of "Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM)" and its global facilities. In turn, the College of Science delivered a powerful and moving documentary presentation that captured the attention of all attendees. The film focused on a period of challenge, documenting the extensive destruction inflicted on the college’s buildings and laboratories during previous years, and highlighting the strong will to rebuild. It showcased the major stages of reconstruction and the concerted efforts of the University Presidency and the College Deanship in transforming ruins into advanced scientific facilities. The presentation also illustrated the college’s current state of modernization and development, which deeply impressed the visiting delegation, who praised the university’s ability to recover and re-enter global rankings despite immense challenges.
Within the same context, the workshop featured a comprehensive presentation by the Malaysian delegation addressed to the college’s academic staff, outlining the latest research methodologies adopted in Malaysia and pathways for joint international publishing. The workshop also included in-depth panel discussions on mechanisms for transferring successful experiences and best practices between the Colleges of Science at both universities.
A distinguished presentation was delivered by "Dr. Wissam Ahmed Amin", faculty member in the Department of Physics, who provided a comprehensive overview of the **University of Anbar**, highlighting its reputable academic standing and advanced international rankings.
