Malaysian Experts Enrich the Knowledge of College of Science Students through Specialized Lectures and Laboratory

The College of Science experienced a rich and dynamic scientific day marked by high-level academic engagement during the continued visit of the Malaysian delegation from "Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM)". Lecture halls and laboratories hosted a series of specialized lectures and field tours, attended by the Dean of the College of Science, Prof. Dr. Ismat Ramzi Abdul-Ghafoor, along with the assistant deans and heads of academic departments.

The delegation began its visit with a detailed field tour of the college’s scientific laboratories, where the guests were introduced to the infrastructure and modern equipment available to researchers. The delegation expressed admiration for the high technical standards and effective laboratory organization, emphasizing that such an environment constitutes a solid foundation for meaningful and rigorous research collaboration.

The lecture program was designed to address various academic levels, creating an atmosphere of integrated knowledge within the research environment. "Prof. Dr. Mohd Rozi", Head of the Malaysian delegation, delivered a strategic lecture targeting postgraduate students in the research phase, in which he discussed modern research methodologies and approaches for selecting innovative research topics that contribute to global technological advancement.

**Associate Professor Dr. Wan Izhan Nawawi** presented an in-depth lecture on **photochemical catalysis** to third-year students in the Department of Chemistry, highlighting the latest techniques in this vital field and emphasizing its promising industrial and research applications.

Meanwhile, the lecture delivered by "Associate Prof. Dr. Ali Hadi Jawad" received exceptional engagement. Addressing fourth-year undergraduate students in the Department of Chemistry, he discussed the critically important topic of “Environmental Pollution: Challenges and Innovative Treatment Methods,” presenting sound chemical and environmental solutions to pollution-related challenges. His lecture enriched students’ perspectives and opened new applied horizons.

The sessions were marked by valuable scientific discussions and insightful questions raised by faculty members and students alike, reflecting the high academic caliber of the College of Science community. In turn, the Dean expressed his deep appreciation to the visiting delegation for their efforts and for sharing their valuable expertise, affirming that such encounters are fundamental to shaping the academic and research character of students.

The activities concluded with commemorative photographs and side meetings to exchange research ideas and proposals, within an atmosphere of scholarly collegiality that embodied the depth of cooperation between the University of Anbar and leading Malaysian universities.
