Continuing its scientific activities, the College of Science held an awareness seminar on "The Entrepreneurial Mind as a Weapon for the Future."

As part of Global Entrepreneurship Week and continuing the intensive academic activity at the College of Science, an important awareness seminar entitled "The Entrepreneurial Mind: The Weapon of the Future" was held this afternoon, Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at 12:30 PM in Ibn Sina Hall.

The seminar was specifically aimed at evening students at the college, to enhance their entrepreneurial culture and connect their academic specializations with the demands of the changing job market.

The seminar was moderated by Dr. Wajdan Ahmed Ali, Head of the University Psychological Counseling Unit, who introduced the topic by emphasizing the need to shift from a job-seeking mindset to a mindset of creating opportunities.

The seminar witnessed outstanding participation, combining academic expertise with student ambition. Presenters included:

Lecturer Hajar Shehab Hamad from the Department of Life Sciences, and third-year student Tabarak Mohammed Abbas from the Department of Life Sciences, in an encouraging initiative to highlight promising student role models. The seminar focused on achieving a number of awareness goals, most notably: clarifying the basic concepts of entrepreneurship and how to build a mindset capable of innovation and calculated risk-taking, especially in applied scientific fields (such as life sciences), and providing strategies for evening studies students (who often combine work and study) on how to invest their time to turn their ideas into real projects, in addition to reviewing how to turn scientific theories studied in the life sciences department into innovative commercial or service project ideas.
