Department of Physics Organizes a Scientific Visit to the Anbar Environment Directorate

As part of the College of Science’s strategic plan to enhance scientific and practical activities, the Department of Physics organized a field visit for fourth-year students to the Anbar Environment Directorate.

The visit was supervised directly by a group of faculty members from the department, including Dr. Israa Kamil Ahmed, Mr. Sabah Sultan Farhan, and Mr. Manar Abdul Jabbar. The tour aimed to move students beyond classroom settings into a professional field environment in order to strengthen their practical and applied understanding.

The visit program included an introductory tour during which students were introduced to the latest equipment used in environmental and radiological measurements. They attended detailed explanations provided by the Directorate’s specialists regarding the operating mechanisms of these technologies, methods of data collection and analysis, and their vital role in monitoring pollution levels and protecting public health.

This initiative aligns with the College’s vision of preparing well-qualified graduates equipped with the practical expertise necessary to serve the community and contribute to environmental protection.

At the conclusion of the visit, the delegation expressed its sincere appreciation to the administration and staff of the Anbar Environment Directorate for their warm reception and constructive cooperation in making the scientific activity a success.
