"Department of Mathematics Continues Its Winning Streak with a Victory over Biology in the Final"

In a notable sporting achievement that reaffirms its dominance on the College’s athletic stage, the Department of Mathematics team once again claimed the title, winning the "College of Science Futsal Championship." This achievement comes less than two weeks after winning the "foot tennis championship," adding another accolade to its record.

The well-deserved victory followed an intense and highly competitive final match held on Thursday, April 30, 2026, between the Department of Mathematics and the Department of Biology. The match was characterized by strong tactical performance and high technical skill, concluding with a "2–1" victory in favor of the Department of Mathematics.

The winning goals for the Department of Mathematics were scored by Hussein Ali Dawood and Anas Hazem Jassim, while the sole goal for the Department of Life Sciences was scored by Maher Abdul Hassan.

At the individual level, players from the Department of Mathematics dominated most of the awards:

Best Player of the Tournament: Moamen Karim Shandi (Department of Mathematics)
Best Goalkeeper: Mohammed Rahim (Department of Mathematics)
Top Scorer: Nouman Mundhir Nouman (Department of Biology), tied in goals with Anas Hazem Jassim (Department of Mathematics)
