In support of scientific activities in various fields and to activate memoranda of understanding between the faculties of science at different universities, Prof. Dr. Ismat Ramzi Abdul Ghafour, Dean of the College of Science - University of Anbar, participated in the membership of the committee to discuss the doctoral thesis of the student Ruwa Jassim Muhammad from the Department of Physics - College of Science - University of Diyala, which was headed by the President of the University of Diyala, Prof. Dr. Tahseen Hussein Mubarak, today, Tuesday, 10/29/2024, entitled (Synthesis and characterization of some dual-doped metals for thin nanostructured CdO films for gas sensor applications).
The study aimed to manufacture a gas sensor by using thin films with a nanostructure.
The study dealt with the preparation of cadmium oxide films by spin coating on glass bases with a different number of layers, and the effect of these layers on the structural, optical, morphological and electrical aspects, and the performance of the sensor based on the physical properties and sensitivity measurements of gases.
The study concluded the manufacture of a gas sensor that can be used to detect a number of gases that pollute the environment.
