New Patent at the College of Science to Combat Salmonella Bacteria
The innovation concept is based on developing a new method to inhibit Salmonella typhi bacteria using the probiotics Lactobacillus rhamnosus (GG) and Lactobacillus plantarum . This scientific innovation opens the prospects to future research in the medical field. The innovation includes evaluating the efficiency of probiotics in reducing the Salmonella bacteria that cause typhoid fever, in addition to eliminating the biofilm, which is a strong virulence factor contributing to antibiotic resistance.
