A large-scale planting campaign was start at the College of Science today, Tuesday, November 5, 2024, in response to the initiative of the University President, Prof. Dr. Mushtaq Talib Al-Nida, “Anbar University is a Green Oasis”, and in implementation of the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research with “ten trees for each student”. The campaign was distinguished by the wide participation of students who donated their time and efforts to beautify the college campus and provide a clean and prosperous environment. The campaign included planting many types of plants and shrubs that contribute to improving the landscape and providing a green environment for students and professors. The Deanship of the College was keen to diversify the planted seedlings to include plants of aesthetic value and perennials, as fruit trees, ornamental shrubs and aromatic plants were planted. This step comes in line with the environmental goals of the campaign, which aims to increase green spaces in our dear university. This campaign aims to achieve many goals, including contributing to increasing the green area on the university campus and improving the general appearance, educating students about the importance of preserving the environment and sustainable agriculture, enhancing the spirit of cooperation and solidarity between students and professors, and providing a healthy and clean study environment that contributes In improving concentration and productivity. The Dean of the College of Science, Prof. Dr. Ismat Ramzi Abdul Ghafour, the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Mishaal Muhammad, and the heads of scientific departments participated in the planting and guidance campaign.
