Start studying the problem of water pollution in many areas of the governorate

 In an important step towards protecting the environment and improving water quality in Anbar Governorate, and in implementation of the memorandum of understanding with the Environment Department in the governorate, it was announced that a study of the problem of water pollution in many areas of the governorate has begun. The study was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Anwar Khawam Alwan, a lecturer in the Department of Applied Geology, in cooperation with a team of researchers and specialists from the Environment Department. A comprehensive scientific study will be conducted to identify the sources of pollution in groundwater and surface water in the targeted areas, and to assess the extent of the impact of this pollution on public health and the environment. This project aims to achieve several goals, including identifying the main sources of pollution in water, assessing the extent of the spread and severity of pollution, in addition to proposing appropriate solutions to reduce pollution and improve water quality.
