The Deanship of the College of Science and the Head of the Physics Department held a special honoring ceremony on Monday, January 10, 2025, for Professor Dr. Nabil Ibrahim Fawaz on the occasion of his retirement, and for Professor Dr. Mazen Abdel Hamid Abdel Qader on the occasion of his transfer to the presidency of the university to assume the duties of Director of the Nanomaterials Research Center. The ceremony expressed the college's appreciation for their sincere efforts and outstanding contributions to developing the Physics Department throughout their academic career, developing the educational process, and raising the level of scientific research in the college. The ceremony was held in Ibn Sina Hall in the College of Science, in the presence of assistants, lecturers, and graduate students. The Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Ismat Ramzi Abdel Ghafour, expressed his happiness, saying: I am pleased to stand before you today at this honoring ceremony, celebrating your career full of achievements and giving. You have been a pillar of this scientific edifice for many years, and have contributed greatly to building generations of qualified graduates. In his speech, Dr. Nabil Ibrahim Fawaz expressed his gratitude for this honor and recommended the importance of cooperation between professors and students to achieve scientific progress, wishing his colleagues success in their scientific career.
