In a move aimed at fostering a passion for science and broadening students' horizons, Al-Anbar High School for the Distinguished conducted a scientific visit to the College of Science on Monday, April 14, 2025. The delegation of students and faculty members were warmly received by the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, department heads, and faculty members. The students were shown around the various laboratories and classrooms equipped with the latest scientific technology and equipment.
The visit included an introductory tour of the college's various departments, including Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, and Mathematics. The students listened to a detailed explanation from professors about the nature of study in each department and the future career opportunities for its graduates. Students also had the opportunity to participate in simple scientific experiments presented by college faculty, creating an atmosphere of interaction and enthusiasm.
The faculty members of Al-Anbar High School for the Gifted expressed their happiness with this fruitful visit, emphasizing the importance of such events in motivating students to think critically and creatively and guiding them toward scientific disciplines that serve the future of Iraq.
For his part, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Salman Obaid, Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, emphasized the college's constant readiness to welcome outstanding students and provide them with the necessary support. He noted that the college places special emphasis on encouraging the younger generation to engage in scientific fields, which represent a fundamental pillar of development and progress.
