From the halls of science to the arenas of competition: "The College of Science celebrates the air rifle shooting team that won second place."
The college team won second place in the University President's Air Rifle Shooting Championship for students, held on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at the sports hall. The competition followed strong competition with other college teams.
The College of Science team won second place after defeating several strong teams in the preliminary round. In the final round, the College of Science team secured second place in an exciting round that was widely watched by the public. The College of Science players demonstrated excellent shooting skills. The winning College of Science team included a group of talented players, including: Students Yassin Amer Obaid and Shaheen Thaer Abdul-Jabbar from the Department of Biotechnology (first year), and Sami Ahmed Sami and Ziad Khalaf Abbar from the Department of Chemistry (second year).
