The College of Science Council holds its sixth regular session.

 The College of Science Council held its sixth regular session today, Thursday, April 17, 2025, chaired by Professor Dr. Esmat Ramzy Abdel Ghafour, with all members of the Council in attendance.

During the session, the Council reviewed the prepared agenda, which included discussions of a number of important topics related to the academic and administrative affairs of the College. The session's main themes centered on discussing the academic promotion files submitted by a number of faculty members. The research and scientific output of the applicants were reviewed, and the extent to which they met the promotion criteria was assessed. The Council also addressed developments in the College's electronic transformation process and the steps taken to implement electronic systems in various aspects of academic and administrative work, which will contribute to simplifying procedures and saving time and effort. Additionally, the Council discussed the continued extension of the service of a number of faculty members at the College, in accordance with applicable regulations and instructions, and in the best interests of the educational process. Requests for postponement of studies submitted by some College students were also discussed, with each request being examined individually in accordance with the valid reasons and applicable regulations. For his part, the Dean affirmed that the session was fruitful, during which a number of important issues were discussed that serve the college's interests and its academic and administrative progress.
