Under the patronage and attendance of the Dean of the College of Science, Professor Dr. Ismat Ramzi Abdul Ghafour, the "College of Science Graduation Research Festival" at Anbar University began today, Thursday, May 22, 2025. This festival represents a vital platform for showcasing the outstanding scientific and research output of fourth-year students in various scientific departments.
The festival, held at the college, was inaugurated in the presence of heads of scientific departments, a number of professors, researchers, and students who came to witness the creativity of their colleagues.
The festival featured a wide-ranging display of graduation projects covering the college's six departments (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Applied Geology, Mathematics, and Biotechnology). The projects ranged from theoretical to applied research, and included brief presentations, detailed scientific posters, and illustrative models of some engineering and applied projects.
The Dean of the College and attendees toured the festival and listened to students' explanations of their research, their work methodologies, and the results they reached. The Dean praised the outstanding level of the submitted research, which reflects the great effort exerted by the students under the supervision of their professors, as well as the scientific competence they have acquired over the years of their studies.
This festival is a golden opportunity for students to present their ideas and research findings to the college and university community and exchange experiences with their colleagues and professors. It also contributes to strengthening the culture of scientific research and innovation among students and encourages them to pursue their academic and professional careers with distinction.
The Dean stated, "We are very proud of the amazing research output we have seen today from our students. This festival confirms that the College of Science is graduating generations capable of effectively contributing to building the future of our nation."
At the conclusion of the festival, the participating students were honored in recognition of their efforts and to emphasize the importance of their valuable scientific contributions.
