New Scientific Cooperation: Anbar University and UKM University Malaysia Announce a Strategic Partnership in the Fields of Education and Scientific Research
In a move to enhance international research cooperation, and under the guidance and follow-up of the University President, Professor Dr. Mushtaq Talib Al-Nida, the College of Science and Technology at UKM University Malaysia received a high-level delegation from the University of Anbar, Iraq, on May 27, 2025. The visit aimed to activate memoranda of understanding and discuss opportunities for strategic cooperation in the fields of research and development, and academic programs for undergraduate and graduate studies. The meeting brought together the Dean of the College of Science and Technology at UKM, Prof. Dr. Ishaq Ahmed, and his staff, along with a delegation from Anbar University, in the presence of the Dean of the College of Applied Sciences-Hit, Assistant Professor Dr. Rasim Faraj Muslim, and the Assistant Dean of the College of Science, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Mishaal Mohammed, representing the Dean of the College of Science. The meeting resulted in very positive outcomes, the most important of which were cooperation in publishing international patents and joint international research, joint supervision of Master's and PhD students, providing research grants and joint discussions for graduate students (in person and online), in addition to forming joint research teams, participating as editors of scientific journals of the two universities, conducting measurements of research samples in the laboratories of both parties, inviting visiting professors, exchanging visits between the concerned colleges, providing scholarships for graduate students from the two universities from the colleges of science, and grants for holders of a Bachelor's degree and for faculty members in Master's, PhD and post-doctoral programs.
