 On Monday, June 30, 2025, the College of Science witnessed the launch of the competitive examination for students applying for graduate studies (master's and doctoral degrees) for the 2025-2026 academic year.

143 ambitious graduates flocked to the college's designated examination halls, armed with their knowledge and passion for scientific research, to compete for available graduate positions in the four scientific departments: Life Sciences, Physics, Chemistry, and Applied Geology.
The examinations were conducted amidst an atmosphere of meticulous organization and adherence to the instructions issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, ensuring the highest standards of transparency and fairness in the evaluation of applicants. All necessary logistical and technical requirements were provided for the comfort of students and to enable them to perform their exams in the best possible way.
The Dean of the College of Science, Professor Dr. Esmat Ramzy Abdel Ghafour, stated during his inspection of the examinations that the competitive examination is our gateway to selecting promising talents who will shoulder the responsibility of developing scientific research at our university and our country. We are committed to implementing the principle of equal opportunity and selecting the best and most qualified to join our solid graduate programs. Applicants for the academic programs were interviewed after the competitive examination by a specialized committee comprising the dean of the college, assistants, and heads of the relevant academic departments. This examination is a crucial milestone in the applicants' academic journey, as its results determine those qualified for admission to the master's and doctoral programs, which provide them with the in-depth knowledge and research skills necessary to contribute to scientific development and serve the community.
