Instructions for the start of the 2025-2026 academic year
Dear Students of the College of Science,
The Deanery of the College extends its warmest greetings and wishes you a successful academic year.
With the beginning of the new academic year, and in order to inform students about the regulations and instructions regarding attendance and the official university dress code for undergraduate and postgraduate students at the University of Anbar, we present below the enforced guidelines in this regard:
General Instructions
* Wearing tight or short clothing is strictly prohibited.
* Modesty, public decency, social norms, and university traditions must be observed in clothing.
* Accessories for both male and female students are not allowed.
* Excessive makeup is prohibited.
Male Students’ Dress Code and Colors
Shirt**: White, light blue, black, or gray.
Jacket/Blazer**: Navy blue, black, gray, or dark brown.
Trousers**: Navy blue, black, or gray.
Female Students’ Dress Code and Colors
Shirt and Skirt**: Shirt colors – white, light blue, black, or gray.
Skirt colors – navy blue, black, or gray.
Jacket/Blazer**: Navy blue, black, gray, or dark brown.
Overcoat (Jubba/Abaya)**: Navy blue, black, gray, or dark brown.
Head Cover (Scarf or Veil)**: White, black, or gray.
Additional Restrictions for Female Students:**
Dresses are not permitted.
Pants are not allowed (only wide, modest culottes are acceptable).
Additional Rules for All Students
No writings, patterns, or designs are allowed on clothing.
Mixing of colors is prohibited (solid plain colors only).
Head cover must strictly be a scarf or veil.
Jeans are prohibited for both male and female students.
