“Towards Distinguished and Rigorous Research”… Dean of the College of Science Meets with New Postgraduate Students
As part of supporting the scientific journey and enhancing the level of postgraduate studies, Prof. Dr. Ismat Ramzi Abdul Ghafour, Dean of the College of Science, held a welcoming meeting with new postgraduate students in the preparatory stage of the academic year 2025–2026, on the morning of Wednesday, September 24, 2025
The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Salman Ubaid, Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies, and Assistant Lecturer Muhannad Abdulwahab Noon, Head of the Postgraduate Studies Division. The event served as an important occasion for direct communication between the college administration and the new students.
Prof. Abdul Ghafour opened the meeting with a welcoming speech, congratulating the students on their admission to postgraduate programs. He stressed that this stage represents a qualitative leap in their academic journey, requiring seriousness, discipline, and diligence, given its importance in strengthening scientific research and advancing knowledge in both the humanities and sciences.
He further emphasized the college’s commitment to providing a stimulating academic environment, supported by research facilities and specialized supervision, ensuring students a fruitful and successful research path. He also underscored the importance of adhering to university regulations and academic standards, calling on students to employ their intellectual and scientific capacities to produce solid, original research that keeps pace with modern developments and contributes to serving society.
